Mike Jenkins born March 22, 1985 Newenburg, Germany is an American football cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Cowboys 25th overall in the first round in the 2008 NFL Draft.
He played high school football and ran track at Southeast High School in Bradenton, Florida. Jenkins was a standout safety in Bradenton at Southeast High School, earning Super Prep All-American honors. The first-team Class 3A All-State choice, was also selected Defensive Player of the Year. He was the District Player of the Year in 2002 he also played running back and led the team in rushing yards and touchdowns that year.
All-American and All-Big East Conference first-team honors in college at the University South Florida. Jenkins played in 48 career games, started 40 contests, at South Florida.
